Race Weekend Parking Information

We are sold out at 7,000 Half Marathon & 5K participants.
🚨 Roads and highway off-ramps will be heavily impacted on race morning, Sunday, November 9 between 5:30AM and 8:30AM. 
ℹ️ Please take the time to read through below, plan accordingly and arrive early! There are many lots within a short walk/run warm-up to the Start!
🚫 There is no official event parking throughout the weekend. Please note any street parking time limits as well as any fees at City & Private lots.
ROAD CLOSURE & NO PARKING INFO

Race Day: Sunday, November 9

  • ARRIVE EARLY!
    • Gear Check is available on Yanonali St. between Gray St. & Santa Barbara St.
    • Race Day Solutions is located on the corner of State St. & Yanonali St.
  • BE COURTEOUS to other participants, race volunteers, staff, city agencies as well as the SB community.
  • NO OFFICIAL EVENT PARKING. If you have an active Waterfront Parking Permit you may use those on accepted lots. The Garden Street Lot as well as the Palm Park Lot along the waterfront will be CLOSED on race morning.

START LINE:  For both the Half Marathon & 5K the Start Line is on Cabrillo Blvd between State St & Garden St along the waterfront. Porto Potties will be available near the Start Line on Anacapa St.

FINISH LINE: For both the Half Marathon and& 5K the Finish Line is on State St. between Haley St. & Gutierrez St.

FUNK ZONE FINISH LINE FESTIVAL: Yanonali St. between State St. & Santa Barbara St. Porto Potties will be available on Helena Ave behind Figueroa Mountain.

Parking & Transportation Options

Bike Valet & Stroller Parking @ Finish Line Festival

Thanks to Move Santa Barbara County a bike valet and stroller parking will be available at the Funk Zone Finish Line Festival on Yanonali St. & Santa Barbara St (136 E. Yanonali St)  in front of Rincon Brewery between 6:00am – 12:00pm. Beat the traffic by riding downtown!

  • Lot 12 will be heavily impacted after 5:00AM.
  • Lot 13 is closed except for VIP, Staff Parking and Amtrak patrons. Heavy Impact. Avoid.

  • Northbound 101: Exit Carrillo St (98A) or Mission St. (99A)

  • TO START: 0.9 Miles
  • TO FESTIVAL: 0.7 Miles

CLOSED OR AVOID

  • CLOSED: The Garden St. Lot & Palm Park Lot are closed on race morning. Do not turn toward the waterfront off of Garden St. You will be directed into downtown Santa Barbara.
  • CLOSED: Shorline Park & La Mesa Park parking lots. 
  • AVOID: The Funk Zone and West Beach Neighborhoods will largely be No Parked to participants and heavily impacted due to road closures. Head to other waterfront lots or State Street Lots.

Santa Barbara City College / Leadbetter Beach Parking Lots

  • Northbound 101: Before 5:30AM exit Bath St (97); after 5:30AM exit Carillo St. (98A) & use Loma Alta Dr.
  • Southbound 101: Exit Carillo St. (98) & Use Loma Alta Dr.
  • TO START: 1.0 – 1.2 Miles
  • TO FESTIVAL: 1.0 – 1.2 Miles
    • SBCC Lot 2-C: 136 Loma Alta Dr
    • SBCC Lot 3: 800 Shoreline Dr
    • Harbor West: 132 Harbor Way
    • Leadbetter Beach: 799 Shoreline Dr.

East Beach Parking Lots

  • Northbound 101: Before 6:00AM exit Milpas St. (96A)
  • Southbound 101: Before 6:00AM exit S Milpas (96B)
  • TO START: 1.2 – 1.4 Miles
  • TO FESTIVAL: 1.2 – 1.4 Miles
    • Cabrillo West: 1118 E Cabrillo Blvd
    • Cabrillo East: 1150 E Cabrillo Blvd

Packet Pick-Up will take place at the Chase Palm Park Carousel House & Plaza. City Public Parking lots are available across the street, on Garden St. and throughout the downtown region. Parking is also available on the street within the Funk Zone / Waterfront area and is a walkable distance.

Bike parking will be available, but will not be a Valet, so please lock your bike. Bike parking is at your own risk similar to any public bike parking stalls.

PARKING OR DROP OFFS ARE NOT ALLOWED DIRECTLY ADJACENT THE CAROUSEL HOUSE ON GARDEN OR CABRILLO BLVD. PLEASE PARK IN A DESIGNATED PARKING LOT ACROSS THE STREET.
